These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Trelos application and website (the “Service”), provided by Trelos (“Trelos,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Trelos is a study and exam-preparation tool that uses spaced repetition and related learning techniques to help you build and retain knowledge. The Service is an educational aid only and is not professional, legal, financial, medical, or other advice.
Trelos is independent and is not affiliated with, authorized, endorsed by, or sponsored by FINRA, NASAA, CFA Institute, NCSBN, the National Healthcareer Association (NHA), AICPA, or any other examination or credentialing body. All exam names and trademarks (including, for example, CFA®) are the property of their respective owners and are used only to identify the exams the Service helps you prepare for. No study tool can guarantee that you will pass an exam or achieve a particular score; your results depend on your own preparation and the exam itself.
You must be the age of majority in your jurisdiction, or use the Service under the supervision and consent of a parent or guardian. The Service is not intended for children under 16.
You are responsible for the activity that occurs under your account and for keeping access to your email secure, since sign-in uses one-time email codes. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
Learn every concept for your exam in Trelos and keep up with your scheduled reviews. If you don’t pass, email support@trelos.ai within 30 days of your exam with your official score report, and we’ll extend your access free for 3 more months, again for each attempt, until you pass. The guarantee extends access; it isn’t a refund.
Organizations (schools, programs, employers, agencies) may buy seats in blocks. Each seat is one personal, non-transferable license for one exam, assigned to one individual through a group code. A seat’s 12-month access period starts when the individual activates it; unactivated seats can be assigned for 90 days from purchase, after which they lapse. Seats may not be reassigned once activated. Group purchases are invoiced to the organization and codes are issued on payment. An organization may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase if no seat has been activated; otherwise group purchases are non-refundable, and the 7-day individual refund does not apply to seats. The pass guarantee applies to each student individually, on the same conditions as an individual purchase, and is fulfilled with extended access to that student, not a refund to the organization. Organizations receive aggregate and per-seat progress information (seats activated, concepts learned, reviews completed); they do not receive a student’s answers, and students are told this when they activate a seat.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the Service for your own exam preparation. You agree not to: resell, share, sublicense, or redistribute the Service or its content; share your account; scrape, copy, or harvest content; reverse engineer or attempt to extract source content or question banks; use the Service to build or train a competing product; or use it in any unlawful or abusive manner.
The Service and its content — including questions, lessons, software, and design — are owned by Trelos or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the license above, no rights are granted to you.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that content is error-free or that the Service will be uninterrupted, and no study tool can guarantee that you will pass any exam. Exam content, formats, and governing rules change over time; we work to keep materials accurate and current but do not warrant that they are complete, error-free, or up to date, and you should verify against official sources. Practice exams within the Service approximate the real exam but may differ in length, format, or scoring. The Service is for exam preparation only and is not legal, financial, medical, tax, or other professional advice. Please report suspected content errors to support@trelos.ai.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trelos will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that may cause harm. You may stop using the Service at any time.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date; your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
