Short version

SimpleNursing is a video-first review platform — more than a thousand lessons, a 4,500+ question NCLEX-RN bank with 1,400+ NGN items, readiness assessments, and live cram sessions. Trelos is a complete daily study system built on retention: it teaches every concept, drills it, and schedules review so it's still there on exam day. It does not include video lessons or NGN item formats. Which fits depends on how you learn and what keeps failing you.

What SimpleNursing is

SimpleNursing built its reputation on teaching — mnemonic-heavy video lessons that explain nursing content in plain language, aimed at students from first semester through NCLEX. Per its pricing page, the NCLEX-RN plans include 1,200+ video lessons, a bank of 4,500+ questions including 1,400+ Next Generation (NGN) items (3,800+ and 975+ for the PN), six readiness assessments, and live NCLEX cram sessions. NCLEX plans run $59.99 a month, a $138 one-time 90-day pass, a $195 plan with its own pass guarantee, and a longer “Full Journey” option. Current plans are on SimpleNursing's pricing page.

What Trelos is

Trelos is a mobile-first retention engine. Every concept runs the same loop: guess first, short lesson, practice, then scheduled review timed to just before you'd forget. Confident mistakes come back first. The NCLEX-RN track covers 216 questions across 36 concepts in six client-needs sections; the NCLEX-PN track, 216 questions across 36 concepts built to the PN test plan; the HESI A2 track, 180 questions across 30 concepts in six sections. All standard multiple choice, including six NGN-style clinical-judgment cases written as standard questions; Trelos has no NGN item formats such as bowtie, matrix or extended drag-and-drop. It covers each exam's full content plan on its own; it does not include video lessons, NGN formats, or full-length adaptive simulations.

Who each is best for

Choose SimpleNursing if you learn by watching, you're still building content knowledge from scratch, or NGN case-study practice is your priority — Trelos doesn't include it.

Choose Trelos if your problem is retention: you've studied the content and it keeps disappearing. Trelos decides what you review each day from what you actually missed, in short sessions on a phone, and keeps every concept producible until test day.

The honest recommendation

Video is a good way to meet content for the first time; it's a poor way to keep it. The NCLEX is failed far more often on recall under pressure than on never having seen the material, and no library schedules your return to a concept the day before it fades. Trelos does exactly that. Its first topics are free with no sign-up to start; if the method works for you, one payment buys the full track for 12 months, extended free if you meet the guarantee's conditions and don't pass.

Pass guarantee: learn every concept in your track and keep up your scheduled reviews, and if you still don't pass, your access is extended free — three more months per attempt — until you do. It's an extension, not a refund.
