Short version

NCLEX Bootcamp (bootcamp.com) is a question-bank product: 2,800+ NCLEX questions, 50 NCLEX case studies, four readiness exams, and crash-course videos, sold in one-, two-, and three-month plans. Trelos is a complete daily study system built on retention: it teaches every concept, drills it, and schedules review so it's still there on test day. It does not include NGN case studies or full-length readiness exams. One rehearses the exam's formats; the other keeps the content from decaying.

What NCLEX Bootcamp is

Bootcamp built its reputation on exam-style practice: a bank of 2,800+ questions, 50 NCLEX case studies, four readiness exams, a study-schedule builder, and short strategy courses, all mobile-friendly. Its pricing page lists sale prices of $59 for one month, $99 for two, and $129 for three (regular prices $79, $159 and $239). Its pass guarantee is a full refund on the two- and three-month plans, conditional on meeting its three “Pass Targets” and buying at least 30 days before your exam. Current plans are on Bootcamp's pricing page.

What Trelos is

Trelos is a mobile-first retention engine. Every concept runs the same loop: guess first, short lesson, practice, then scheduled review timed to just before you'd forget. Confident mistakes come back first. Practice is interleaved. The NCLEX-RN track covers 216 questions across 36 concepts in six client-needs sections; the NCLEX-PN track, 216 questions across 36 concepts on the PN test plan. All standard multiple choice, including six NGN-style clinical-judgment cases written as standard questions; Trelos has no NGN item formats such as bowtie, matrix or extended drag-and-drop. Trelos covers the full content plan on its own; it does not include NGN case studies or full-length timed readiness exams.

Who each is best for

Choose Bootcamp if your weakness is the exam's formats — case studies, select-all, prioritization under a clock — and you want a large bank to rehearse them in. Trelos doesn't include those formats.

Choose Trelos if your weakness is retention: pharmacology, lab values, and infection control you've studied and keep losing. A bank shows you that you've forgotten it; Trelos is built to stop the forgetting, and it does so in short sessions you'll actually keep up.

The honest recommendation

Bootcamp's three-month plan is a fair price for a strong bank. But a bank can't bring a concept back three days later, then ten, then thirty — that scheduling gets left to willpower, and willpower is what runs out in week six. Trelos automates it, from what you actually missed. The first topics are free with no sign-up; one payment buys 12 months, extended free if you meet the guarantee's conditions and don't pass.

Pass guarantee: learn every concept in your track and keep up your scheduled reviews, and if you still don't pass, your access is extended free — three more months per attempt — until you do. It's an extension, not a refund.

Trelos vs NCLEX Bootcamp FAQ

Is Trelos better than Bootcamp for the NCLEX?
They do different things. Bootcamp is a question bank with case studies for format rehearsal; Trelos is a retention engine that keeps the content producible. If your practice scores swing because you forget material between sessions, Trelos addresses the cause.
Does Trelos have NGN case studies?
Not in NGN formats. The NCLEX-RN track is 216 standard multiple-choice questions across 36 concepts, including six clinical-judgment cases written as standard multiple choice. It does not include Next Generation item formats such as bowtie, matrix or extended drag-and-drop.
How long is Bootcamp access?
One, two, or three months depending on plan, per its pricing page. Trelos is 12 months from one payment.
How do the guarantees compare?
Bootcamp refunds the two- and three-month plans if you meet its Pass Targets, bought at least 30 days before your exam, and still fail. Trelos's pass guarantee: learn every concept in your track and keep up your scheduled reviews, and if you still don't pass, your access is extended free — three more months per attempt — until you do. It's an extension, not a refund.
Does Bootcamp use spaced repetition?
It isn't a feature Bootcamp describes; its model is a question bank with readiness exams and a schedule builder.
Can I try Trelos first?
Yes. Every exam's first topics are free at trelos.ai, with no sign-up needed to start.
